
Swedish Massage
Classic form of massage that helps promote relaxation and reduce muscle pain and stiffness. It uses soothing techniques, such as long strokes, kneading, and friction, that increase oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from muscles.
Deep Tissue Massage
A more focused type of massage, aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the body, that helps break up adhesions or knots, release chronic muscle tension, and increase joint mobility. It uses specific, deep-pressure techniques that encourage the lengthening of affected muscles and tendons as well as help remove excess scar tissue.
Shiatsu Massage
A type of Eastern-based massage that applies different types of pressure to the energy channels of the body in order to help restore the natural flow of the energy (qi) and bring balance to the body. Gentle stretching is also performed in order to relax muscles. Shiatsu helps reduce stress and stimulates the body’s ability to heal and maintain itself.
